Why?
The media is changing. One day in the near future, there will be no newspapers. The news as we know it will be distributed and viewed on a variety of digital platforms.
Photography will have its place, but the true power of the digital format will combine the use of audio, video and still images.
This combination will allow us to harness and express stories like never before.
As a press photographer working for the traditional print media, I have accepted the fact that the industry is changing.
This blog is my little corner of the web where I plan to document and share my experiences as we begin to turn the corner into this unknown but exciting future.
If done right multimedia presentations can be a very powerful story-telling medium. There is no doubt that a growing number of people, many who are specialists in there own fields, are paving the way and beginning to harness the power of the medium.
As media professionals we need to stay ahead of the curve, the time for moaning about the ‘good old days’ is over. Our industry is changing at an incredible pace. Let’s try and keep up and see what the future brings.
